decode/ decrypt vnc password from the hash in the .ini file

download the tool "VNC password decoder 0.2 (vncpwd)" from aluigi, in the password recovery section
http://aluigi.org/pwdrec.htm

for realvnc 4, the hash is located,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RealVNC\WinVNC4
with a key 'password'
reg query HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\RealVNC\WinVNC4 /v password

and in ultravnc.ini
[ultravnc]
passwd=5FAEBBD0EF0A2413
passwd2=5FAEBBD0EF0A2413

for example:  5FAEBBD0EF0A2413 is the hashed password in the .ini file/registry of vnc server.


the use:

vncpwd.exe 5FAEBBD0EF0A2413
